Our forum has moved

This is just to let you know that the forum that I have been a member of  for more years than I care to remember has now moved, we (me and Bri) are now hosting it on our website, and I've had lots of fun setting up the design of the forum along with Lynn, the founder of the former site, We are now enjoying all the lovely comments that are being made about the site, and of course enjoying the company of all the lovely ladies over there, the link is over on the right hand side, (crafters reunited), please feel free to come on over and say hi, we would love to meet you in our new home!!

I've updated!!

Hi again, As you can see I've been playing with my blog, Im sorry I havent been posting but as always I have been a busy bee, we are in the middle of setting up a new site for a craft forum that I am admin on, The link to the one I'm talking about is in my list of  "my favourite sites" ( "fab friendly forum") but I will give further details when the new one is up and running in the near future

In the meantime I would like to show you some Christmas cards I have made
The bauble one is made from an idea I saw on Wendy's site, thankyou wendy for your inspiration

The Christmas window is made from a decoupage sheet from La Pashe

All of these medallion ones were made with a set of peel offs that I bought when I first started crafting many moons ago, I dont usually like working with peeloffs but I think you will agree these have come out ok

Right back to the challenges

This card covers
A wonderful sketch by Lily of the Valley
Fab n Funky's metal mania as the flowers are metal
Sweet treats by Charismacardz cards
Saturday Challenge, which is also metal

Upclose and Personal

The cherry and the chocolate chips have got 'glossy accent's' on to make them 3d

Cute n cuddly

I bet you thought I had forgot about this Shell, but how can I forget one of my bessie mate's 1st challenge!!

I know puddy cats aren't everyones cup of tea  lol ......but I couldnt resist this very cuddly ball of fluff as he looks just like my daughter's cat, he helps me cover two challenges, cute and cuddly from Crazy Challenge oh and while you are there take a look at their fabby crotchet flowers that they are giving away!!

The other challenge is the great sketch I followed so I could put 'puddy' on the card over on MAWTT

Challenge cards

Hi all....I havent had a great deal of time this week but have managed to squeeze some time out for a few challenge cards...here they are

The first one is for Sentimental Sundays challenge which is "for that someone specail", and as my family are very special to me this is what I came up with

Upclose & Personal

The bear was coloured with my promarkers of course lol, the ribbon was threaded through the card then pulled together to make the bow

This card was made for a few challenges and I hope it ticks all the boxes lol....the challenges are "Crazy challenge" their great theme is "Bling".....it also covers "I love promarkers" challenge which is "Wings"
I also added some "fancy edges" for the Fab n funky challenge ....last but not least is the brillliant sketch I followed over on moving along with the times

Thankyou for taking the time to look at my cards, it is really appreciated, dont forget to leave me a comment to tell me what you do (or dont) like

Hello blog friends...I havent been doing much crafting this week as I have been busy with other things, I have been spring cleaning my craft room, but now its all tidy I dont want to mess it up by making cards in there lol.... also over the bank holiday weekend we were working in the garden as we are building a raised bed at the rear of the garden to grow vegetables and salad stuff in, cant wait till its finished and we can get onto the growing stage!!

So as I havent done any cards for challenges yet (notice I said YET) lol .....I thought I would put some cards that I had to hold back as they are for my FIL and I didnt want to spoil the suprise for him, see if you can guess how old he is

I did two cards for him as I wanted to do a "special" one and I did put a jokey verse in this one, its a verse that Brian came up with and it goes like this....

70 yrs have passed you by
Think back on  the good times you’ve had
But when you look in the morning mirror
Doesn’t it make you mad
To see those lines across your brow
All deep and crisp and jagged
Happy 70th birthday old man
My god you’re looking haggered ! ! !

So now you know why I needed a sentimental one as well lol
Here is the other card

Its a "framin" card from La Pashe and as he loves to potter in the potting shed it was ideal for him

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look

Another Challenge

Wow this is a record for me updating my blog!!...lol

I am loving these challenges, I am beginning to wonder why I haven't tried them before now, this next one is for "I love promarkers", another attempt of me following a sketch....I have had these stamps for ages and never got round to using them, I bought them because they appealed to my sense of humour!!....thats another reason for me loving the challenges, they get me to use things I forgot I have!!

Upclose & Personal

I have added some "A B C's" with brads for my embellishments, have coloured the babies in with my trusted promarkers...not sure if my colouring in is improving but I am trying lol

Here I have added some fibres from my stash and punched the corners of the card to thread the fibres through

Hope you have enjoyed looking at these little treasures and that they have made you smile as much as they did me when I first set eyes on them.

Lots of 1st's

Im here again happily doing a few challenges....I am planning to enter a few with one card, never done this before and have never followed a sketch before either because I normally just make my cards for family and friends so I know what they like and make a card to suit

So there are a lot of firsts for me!!
This card is made for the "moving along with the times" challenge, following their sketch, which as I already said is a 1st for me.......Im also entering it into "crazy challenge", my mate Shell has just been asked to join their DT so well done Shell, the challenge over there is buttons, brads and eyelets

My card also qualifies for their first challenge over on "sentimental sundays" as it incorporates the flowers and of course a sentiment and we can share our firsts lol....I have entered it into the girly with flowers challenge card on "charisma cardz" blog

I think thats enough for one card ....now to show the card .....I didnt realise when making it that I would be able to enter it in so many challenges!!

Upclose and personal

I have coloured him in using my promarkers and added glossy accents to acentuate the tulips I also used an embossing punch for the corners

I would like to publicly thank Shell for all her hard work helping me.... I wouldn't have been able to do the challenges without her helping me by showing me the way ...You are a saint hun, thanks x

Back again !!

Bet ya thought I had gone awol lol.....not gonna apologise this time cos I done it too many times lol

I gotta find out if I can remember how to do this.
I have loadsa cards to show you....am wanting to join in on some challenges cos my mate Shell has inspired me (her blog is on the right if you want to take a look).....but Im not sure how to go about doing it all so I will have to have a looksie if any of these cards fit the criteria (and if I can do it)

I got the inspiration for this first card when I visited my local craft shop (to buy more promarkers lol).....yes Im addicted to them too lol but thats another story I saw a card similar to this and wanted to try and do one, it has acetate wrapped around the front of the card (if that makes sense)....here's the piccy so you can see for yourselves

And now for the upclose and personal bit.....

Here you can see where the acetate arches over the front of the card....it adds a new dimension to the card

As well as me coming out of retirement I also woke "robbie" up (my robo) and cut this lovely template that I got from one of the very talented ladies on UK Scrappers site

Up close and personal.....

I punched out a lovely little butterfly to add a little something "extra" to it

This next one is for our Brother in law for his birthday (hope they dont peek lol).....he is starting a college course on ........guess !!!.......

Bee Keeping!!!....did you guess right?? lol....I have finally entered this card in a challenge over on Lili of the valley ....... not sure if I did it right but hey ho....if not I will try, try and again lol

Upclose and personal

I know he looks like hes got a wet nose but I can assure you he hasnt got a cold!!.....I have added glossy accents to the bee and the centre of the flower to add dimension to the card

I have also done some faux stitching and added card candy thats been decorated to match the card

This next one is for my cousin's 25th Anniversary....but that doesnt take a genius to work out lol.....I have also entered it into the great challenge over at "fab and funky" as their challenge is NO designer papers, now I first thought NO WAY could I do a card without using papers to "fancy" it up, but I think I've managed it lol....... the stamped image was from my mate, Shell....she stamped me this image as they are just so cute....I coloured them in using my promarkers

Upclose and personal......

I stamped and cut out the corner of the card and stamped wedding rings in silver on the insert....I saw this idea on the net whilst surfing with Shell the other day and thought it would work with this particular card

Thats it for now although I have got some more to add I will do it soon as I am definatley going to try and keep up now I have got my mojo back

Thanks for bearing with me and looking at my cards....please let me know which are your favourites
